Rustic and Industrial Age Art Work - Page 7 |
"The Cattle De-Horners" This is a pair of cattle de-horners. They were used to cut the horns off cows to prevent the cattle from harming each other. A barn demolition find, these were pretty rusty. A good cleaning has restored them to their usefulness. I linseed oiled this piece to keep it's antique luster. In raised letters is on the face of the tool is, “Modern Dairyman” “This Side Opposite Head” Overall length is 37” long. An excellent example of farm and ranching history. Price is $350 |
